Ottawa Winter Engagement Session - Krista & Sean
Ah , Ottawa winters. As someone who is perpetually cold, I have a love/hate for them. It can undoubtedly be the most beautiful time of the year, but man does it ever hurt your face. After my years of shooting, I've realized that a lot of people like the idea of what a winter shoot would look like, but aren't willing to take the frostbite risk for the photos. Which, you can't blame them for. This makes it hard to plan in advance as one day it can be +3 degrees and -30 the next. Thankfully, yesterday was a "balmy" -14 with windchill, and there was a light dusting of snow on all the trees from the night before. Krista and Sean showed up ready and willing to brave the cold - and they totally rocked it. With cold hands and knee-deep snow, they somehow managed to stay smiling and laughing the entire time. We had a lot of fun trekking around in the snow at the Experimental Farms. Of course, as soon as I uploaded them I was immediately obsessed, and had to edit them. Hence the next-day blog post. Just look at that happy!
Krista & Sean, thanks for such a fun Saturday afternoon. And for being yourselves throughout the whole shoot - it made my job easy. I can't wait to celebrate with you guys at your wedding this June at Temples Sugar Bush! xo
